I am so very happy I was chosen to get an ARC of The Partner track by Helen Wan because I LOVED it! I enjoyed absolutely everything about it and found the story interesting with a great voice. I would classify it as intelligent chick lit - a story in the chick lit genre but a bit more of a story behind it that just the usual love interest though there was there too of course.

I have to divulge that I am a fan of legal shows on TV like Drop Dead Diva or The Good Wife, so it wasn't a stretch for me to fall in love with Ingrid. Everything about the legal world fascinates me for some reason, and I found it fascinating how candid Helen Wan was in describing the legal world in NYC. She seemed to be unapologetic about how she viewed things and was very frank about the descriptions and opinions of this sometimes insular community.

The book made me want to read it again as soon as I finished it - it was THAT good. I enjoyed the way the characters were portrayed and developed and the story came to a conclusion that I loved and definitely didn't expect.

Ingrid was a character that I just found myself rooting for and I wanted everything to work out for her. I could really feel her pain at times and had no problem using my imagination to put myself in her place. 

I cannot recommend The Partner Track enough, and I definitely cannot wait for Helen Wan to write another book. I will probably be first in line to buy it!
