Chantel Guertin Stranded on a Desert Island!

If you could only have one book with you, what would it be?

The Fault in our Stars by John Green. I can open this book to any page and read a single paragraph and enjoy it.

What one luxury item would you want to be stranded with?

A manicure set: a good manicure really changes my attitude on life.

What is the one practical item you would want to have with you to use?

SPF. Miserable would being on a desert island be with a sunburn?

Would you enjoy the solitude, even briefly, or would it drive you crazy?

Briefly? I’d definitely enjoy solitude for a while before I started talking to a volleyball.

If you could be stranded with one other person, who would you want it to be?

My husband-to-be. Or Gerry Dee. I think he’s awesome.

What modern technology would you miss the most?

My MacBook Air.

What food or beverage would you miss the most?

Soda Stream water!

How many days do you think you would cope without rescue?

Probably as long as it  took me to write a book. How productive I’d be! But I should probably change the answer to question #3 to “power cord for my laptop”.

What is the first thing you would do when rescued?

Shower.

What would be your first Tweet or Facebook update upon your return?

Honey, I’m home!

Depth of Field

Two weeks in New York City should be the time of Pippa’s life: she’s attending the prestigious Tisch Photography Camp, her boyfriend, Dylan McCutter (two months and counting!) is coming with her, and their parents are 500 miles away. Talk about lights, camera, (swoony, unchaperoned) action! But what should be 14 unforgettable days of bliss turns into chaos when her one and only nemesis, Ben Baxter, proves to be surprisingly more complex than she could’ve ever imagined, and her Tisch mentor, a renowned photographer, seems to have a lot more to do with her parents’ past than anyone wants her to know. Is Pippa out of her depth?
