Would you rather...with Lisa M. Gott

Please welcome Lisa M.Gott, author of A Thirty-Something Girl.

Lisa M.Gott:

Lisa M. Gott is a contemporary literary fiction author. Her stories tell of the human spirit – sometimes sad, sometimes not – most can relate to them on some level or another. When she’s not feverishly weaving words, you can find her enjoying nature, spending time with her incredible husband, and sometimes sipping a latte. Okay, maybe more than sometimes.

Chips, chocolate or cheese?

Yes. Those all sound wonderful. Oh… I have to pick one? CHEESE! I’m convinced I was a rat in another life (or maybe this one…).

Bridget Jones, Becky Bloomwood or Carrie Bradshaw?

Bridget Jones. Definitely. I once saw her described as a “compulsive self-improver.” That should be my tag line in life.

Wine, beer or vodka?

How about some coffee instead? And when I say some, I actually mean ALL the coffee in the world :-)

Camping or spa vacation?

Camping! I absolutely love the outdoors. Plus, not really into strangers groping me.

Water or mountains?

Mountains. There is nothing quite like standing on top of the world.

Zombies or vampires?

Vampires. But not the sparkly kind. That’s just silly.

Dogs or cats?

A year ago I would have said dogs. But now I’m all in love and stuff with my husband’s cat (don’t tell her that). So I’m sort of digging the idea of turning into a cat lady.

Coke or Pepsi?

Coffee. Oh, that wasn’t an option? Shame on you, it should have been!

Coffee or tea?

For the love of god… Coffee! Coffee! Coffee!

Dine out or take away?

Take away.  I’d much rather go home and throw on some ratty PJs and eat in the comfort of my own home.

High heels, sneakers or flip flops?

What about slippers? I like slippers. A lot. And socks with wild colors and funny designs.

Physical Book or ebook?

These days, ebook. Much easier on my eyes.

Paperback or Hardcover?

For collecting purposes, hardcover. For reading purposes, paperback.

Pen or pencil?

Pen.

Mad Men, Downton Abbey or Breaking Bad?

Downton Abbey. I’m obsessed with that show!

Drama or comedy?

Drama. I’m far too grumpy to laugh. Just kidding. Maybe.

Twilight or Hunger Games?

Oh boy, I hate to admit this, but… Twilight. #dontjudgeme

Lipstick, lipgloss or chapstick?

Chapstick. Noticing a trend? I’m boring.

Facebook or Twiter?

Facebook. I’m far too verbose to use Twitter effectively.

Plot your entire novel or fly by the seat of your pants?

Fly by the seat of my monkey pants! Yes, I really do have monkey pants.

A Thirty-Something Girl

A Thirty-Something Girl follows the story of Hope. At the age of 30, she finds her life in utter shambles. Everything that could go wrong has – divorce, loss of a child, financial struggles. It is the love and unfettered support of her close friends who keep her from being lost in the quicksand of utter despair. As she slowly begins to wrap her head around who she is and what it means to be happy, she meets a man, Sam. Sam is also not a stranger to hardship and finds himself at his own crossroads. Together they find comfort and peace in one another; a soft, quiet place to fall, when the rest of the world is too hard and too noisy to inhabit. A Thirty-Something Girl is a story about the power of human resilience, the importance of friendships, and the magic of true love. It is a story that teaches us (and reminds us) that happiness is actually a very simple concept: it is a choice. A choice we must remember to make each and every day.
